Description
The "Minsara" (Polygon) in Ramon crater
The Minsara is a geological site where you can see an interesting phenomenon of polygon-shaped stones.
The trail starts on a floating wooden path that protects the unique shaped stones. Children and adults love to walk in the desert when they are half a meter above the ground.
How was the Minsara created?
Hot magma rose from the ground to the top of the area. The magma cooled quickly, and due to its chemical composition, the cooling formed prismatic crystals with 4 to 6 facets. Some protrude from the ground, and some lie on the ground's surface. The reason why some of them are lying on the ground is that the layer that was under them has worn out, and they fell.
Very important: do not take stones from the site. Preserve the values of nature for those who come after you.
